Data Deletion
Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
You can delete the data OmniPost holds about you at any time. This page explains how, and what is removed. See also our Privacy Policy.
Option 1 — Delete your OmniPost account
- Sign in and open Settings.
- In the Delete account section, enter your password and confirm.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. It removes:
- your profile (name, email address, password hash), sessions and password reset links;
- every workspace you are the only owner of, together with all of its connected social accounts and their encrypted access tokens, posts, schedules, publishing history, member list, invitations and audit log;
- all images and videos uploaded to those workspaces, deleted from our file storage;
- any active subscription of those workspaces, which is cancelled.
In workspaces owned by someone else, your membership is removed; posts and media you created there belong to that workspace and remain, no longer linked to you.
Option 2 — Disconnect a single social account
In Accounts, choose Disconnect on the account. Its access tokens are wiped immediately and scheduled posts to it are cancelled. Its display name and avatar are kept only so past posts show where they were published, until you delete the workspace or your account.
Option 3 — Remove OmniPost from the platform
You can revoke OmniPost's access directly in each platform's settings:
- Facebook / Instagram: Facebook Settings → Business integrations (or Instagram Settings → Apps and websites), then remove OmniPost. Meta notifies us automatically and we delete every Facebook, Instagram and Threads account linked to your Meta profile; you will receive a confirmation code that you can check on this page.
- Threads: Threads Settings → Account → Website permissions, then remove OmniPost.
- YouTube / Google: Google Account → Third-party connections.
- TikTok: TikTok app → Settings and privacy → Security → Apps and services permissions.
- Pinterest: Pinterest Settings → Security and logins → Apps (or connected apps), then revoke OmniPost.
- LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services.
- X: Settings → Security and account access → Connected apps.
After you revoke access, OmniPost can no longer publish to that account and marks it as needing reconnection the next time it is used. Use Option 1 or 2 to also remove the stored record.
Option 4 — Ask us
Email [CONTACT EMAIL] from the address registered on your account and ask us to delete your data. We will confirm and complete the request within [RESPONSE TIME, e.g. 30 days].
Backups and records we must keep
Data is removed from our live systems immediately. Encrypted backups are overwritten within [BACKUP RETENTION, e.g. 30 days] and server logs within [LOG RETENTION, e.g. 30 days]. Payment records held by Stripe and invoices may be retained where tax or accounting law requires. Content you have already published to a social platform is controlled by that platform — delete it there if you want it removed.
